Our Property and Evidence unit is staffed with two techs and a supervisor. The Unit is responsible for the intake, management, control, and disposal of all property received by the Prescott Valley Police Department.
Releasing Property and Evidence
Releases of all items will be by APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Identification/ownership MUST BE provided at the time of pick up to retrieve/claim the property.
Appointments are scheduled on the following days. We are closed on weekends and holidays.
Monday: 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Tuesday: 8:00 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: Closed
Friday: 8:00 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Firearm Release
A Criminal History inquiry will be conducted to determine the prohibited status of the owner. Third-party individuals acting on behalf of the owner will also be the subject of a Criminal History inquiry to determine prohibited status. In the event where the owner and/or third party is found to be a prohibited possessor, Prescott Valley Police Department will retain possession of the firearm.
