Construction Schedule and Traffic Updates
All lanes of Glassford Hill Road will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday
and Sunday (11/23-11/26).
PROJECT UPDATE
Mon, November 27:
Crews will continue southbound between Florentine Road and Centre Court against the median. Intersection restrictions are expected at Florentine Road and Glassford Hill Road starting Monday, November 27.
Drivers will be restricted as crews work in the intersection over the next few weeks.
Alternate routes and detours will be clearly marked.
Drivers are ENCOURAGED to plan ahead and allow extra travel time to reach their destinations, this includes school and work. Construction will be protected behind a concrete barrier and turning movements will be restricted.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as this vital enhancement project occurs in Prescott Valley.

About the Project
In June 2023, the Town of Prescott Valley began a pavement and enhancement project on Glassford Hill Road from State Route 69 to Panther Path.
This much-needed road enhancement project includes new pavement, improved drainage with curb and gutter, new sidewalks from Florentine to Veterans Way and at Frontage Road to improve pedestrian use along the corridor; new striping and crosswalk improvements.
Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. *some night work is expected. There will be full lane closures and some turning movements will be restricted through the work zone. Crews will remove up to two feet of existing materials to adequately improve the heavily traveled roadway. Delays and impacts are expected during construction. Construction Work Zone to Shift on Glassford Hill Road Monday, November 27
Construction crews are set to shift the work zone on Glassford Hill Road to the southbound section between Florentine Road and Centre Court, adjacent to the median, on Monday, November 27.
This phase of the project will require intersection restrictions at Florentine Road and Glassford Hill Road. Alternate routes, business access, and detours will be clearly marked for the convenience of motorists. To minimize disruptions, drivers are strongly advised to plan their routes in advance and factor in additional travel time. The construction area will be safeguarded by a concrete barrier, and turning movements will be temporarily restricted for the safety of all users.

Paving Activity on Glassford Hill Road Monday-Wednesday Only Thanksgiving Week
Paving operations on Glassford Hill Road will occur Monday, Nov. 20 through Wednesday, Nov. 22 in the southbound direction between Panther Path and Florentine Road. One lane will always remain open.
Access to all businesses will be maintained during construction. Lane restrictions will be removed on Wednesday evening. All lanes will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Nov. 23 -26. Drivers are encouraged to shop and support the businesses along the corridor.
On Monday, Nov. 27 crews will resume construction in the southbound lanes between Florentine Road and Centre Court. Restrictions will occur at the Florentine Road intersection.

Construction Work Zone Shift Thursday, Nov 9th
Construction crews will shift the work zone on Glassford Hill Road to the outside lanes between Veterans Way and Florentine Road on Thursday, November 9. As a result, the left turn onto Florentine Road will reopen, however a right turn at Veterans Way will be restricted, both in the southbound direction.
Drivers are asked to access businesses at the Florentine and Lakeshore Drive Intersections, and residents are encouraged to support local businesses during this construction. To ensure timely arrival at their destinations, drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and plan accordingly.

Work Zone to Shift Wednesday, Nov 1st
As a result of progress being made on the Glassford Hill Road enhancement project in Prescott Valley, crews will shift the work zone between Veterans Way and Florentine Drive on Wednesday, November 1. The work zone will be moved to the inside lanes (closest to the median) in the southbound direction.
Drivers will be restricted with the left turn at Veterans Way, but alternate routes are available. To ensure timely arrival at their destinations, drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and plan accordingly.

Work to Shift Monday, October 23 on Glassford Hill Road
Construction southbound on Glassford Hill Road continues between E. Lakeshore Drive to Veterans Way and will shift to the inside lanes on Monday, October 23. The right turn in/out at Lakeshore at Glassford Hill Road will reopen. Left turn restrictions will resume until this section is complete.
Motorists should be prepared for a reduced speed limit within the construction area, accompanied by certain turning movement constraints. Clearly marked alternative routes will guide the way.
To ensure timely arrival at their destinations, drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, and to support local businesses during and after construction. The community’s understanding and patience throughout this process are greatly appreciated.

Night Work Scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 17th & Wednesday, Oct. 18th on Glassford Hill Road
Night work is scheduled on Tuesday, October 17 and Wednesday, October 18 at the intersection of State Route 69 and Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley, to alleviate major delays at the busy intersection. Crews will be working to mill the existing pavement and fill with new asphalt from State Route 69 to just south of Centre Court in the northbound lanes.
Work hours are 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night. Minimal delays are expected, and drivers will experience left turn restrictions and rolling lane closures during work hours. Work zone shifts Tuesday next week on Glassford Hill Road
Crews will continue with paving operations on Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley next week. Paving work is scheduled on Monday, October 9 in the existing work zone, behind the concrete barrier from E. Panther Path to Lakeshore Drive. Starting on Tuesday, October 10 crews will shift the work zone from Lakeshore Drive to the north side of Veterans Way in the southbound direction.
Drivers will be restricted to one lane through the work zone and minimal delays are expected. The Town encourages residents to support the businesses along the corridor and through the work zone during construction.

Paving Operations Scheduled in Both Directions Next Week on Glassford Hill Road
Starting Monday, September 25, crews will be paving the southbound lanes of Glassford Hill Road behind the existing barrier. Then crews will shift the work zone to the inside travel lanes to continue paving in that section.
Additionally, starting on Monday, crews will begin paving the final layer of pavement on the northbound section of Glassford Hill Road between Florentine Road and Main Street, including turn lanes. As a result, drivers should anticipate single-lane restrictions during this process. To ensure timely arrival at their destinations, drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time.

Progress is being made on the paving work on Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley and as a result, crews are ready to begin improvements southbound starting next Monday, September 11 from Panther Path to Lakeshore Drive.
Drivers are encouraged to use extra caution while driving through the work zone. Please be mindful of construction personnel and equipment and obey the reduced speed limit.
Crews are making every effort to make the construction as seamless as possible for drivers. The Town encourages residents to support businesses along the construction route as this project continues.

Traffic shift expected Monday, August 14 on Glassford Hill Rd and Lakeshore Dr
About the Project
Progress continues on the Glassford Hill Road enhancement project. Crews are expected to shift the work zone to the inside left lane north of Lakeshore Drive to Main Street (northbound only). Drivers will be limited to one lane, minimal impacts are expected. The intersection at Lakeshore Drive and Glassford Hill Road will reopen when the new work zone is in place.
Work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please use extra caution while in the work zone and be alert for construction equipment and personnel. The businesses along the corridor are open and we encourage you to SHOP LOCAL and support them during and after construction.

Back to School!
Work continues on Glassford Hill Road between Veterans Way and Main Street (northbound) and will remain in place, when school starts this week.
The Town of Prescott Valley encourages families, student drivers and the traveling public to plan ahead, allow extra travel time to get to and from school and use caution through the work zone. Drivers are encouraged to be alert for additional traffic through the work zone and be alert for construction personnel and equipment.
The first phase will continue along Glassford Hill Road and until the final paving is complete, travel lanes are uneven. One lane will be open (northbound only) as work continues. Minimal delays are expected and alternate routes are clearly marked throughout the work zone.

Prescott Valley, AZ: Paving work continues on Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley. Crews will move the work zone to the outside travel lanes on Tuesday, July 25 from Veterans Way to Main Street. The left turn lane at Lakeshore Drive will open and the work zone will extend to the north limits of the project at Main Street (parallel to Panther Path Way). Drivers will need to follow posted detour routes for access onto Lakeshore Drive as the right turn lane will be closed during this phase. Alternate routes will be clearly marked.

Prescott Valley, AZ: As the paving work and improvement work continues on Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley, the active work zone will shift northbound on Tuesday, July 11 from Veterans Way to Lakeshore Drive. Drivers will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for the next several weeks. Please be advised the left turn at Lakeshore Drive will be restricted and drivers are encouraged to use Veterans Way to access local businesses. Business access signage will be posted to identify the access location for the businesses north of Lakeshore Drive.

Prescott Valley, AZ: As progress continues on the Glassford Hill Road enhancement project in Prescott Valley, crews are ready to shift the work zone to the inside left lane and left turn lane (northbound) at Veterans Way. This traffic shift will occur on Monday, June 26 and remain in place for the next several weeks. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Crews will not be working through the July 4th holiday.

Work starts June 5 on the Glassford Hill Road enhancement project
Prescott valley, AZ: The Town of Prescott Valley is preparing, along with the contractor Asphalt Paving & Supply, to begin the Glassford Hill Road enhancement project on Monday, June 5. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Crews are expected to begin northbound on Glassford Hill Road on the north side of Florentine Road and continue to Veterans Way. Traffic control is only in one direction, at a time, and will include up to two closed lanes to provide for a safe work zone.
Work will take place in two of the three lanes in each direction, with traffic moving in the third lane. When the two lanes are complete, traffic will be shifted, and the final lane completed. Live traffic will be separated from active work zones with barriers to ensure safety of construction personnel.
Impacts and delays are expected as crews will remove up to two feet of existing pavement and subgrade, so the work zones will be fully closed to traffic during each phase. Business driveways during construction will be restricted but not completely closed, and alternate entrances/exits will be accessible. Adequate signage will be in place.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution, adhere to reduced speed limits, be aware of construction equipment and personnel and allow extra travel time while driving through the active work zones. Please note, construction activities will be suspended for the July 4th holiday and no work is expected from June 30 through July 5.

Work scheduled to begin early June on Glassford Hill Road enhancement project
Prescott valley, AZ: Drivers looking forward to a smoother ride on Glassford Hill Road will soon see progress. A complete pavement rehabilitation project will take place this Spring from State Route 69 to Panther Path.
The Glassford Hill Road enhancement project was awarded to apparent low bidder, Asphalt Paving & Supply at the May 11 Town Council meeting. Construction is expected to begin in early June, with an estimated completion of the work by mid-December.
The road work will be done in sections and will be scheduled to avoid school intersections during the start of classes. Night work is expected to minimize the impacts to the public and local businesses on this busy corridor. It is anticipated that the work will be sequenced to begin north of Florentine Road and work its way north section by section. Work will then begin in the southbound direction from Panther Path to State Route 69, before turning north to complete the remaining segment between the highway and Florentine Rd.
