Nov 29, 2023: Bring Pets Indoors

Dog in Yard with SnowThe Prescott Valley area is now seeing near or below freezing temperatures. Prescott Valley Police Animal Services Officer would like to remind pet owners to properly care for their furry friends by making sure they have adequate protection from the cold and proper food and water. It is part of responsible pet ownership to provide a safe and secure place for pets.

If pets are outside during the day or night, make sure they have access to an insulated dog house or other shelter, and food and water that is not frozen or contaminated. Some breeds of dogs cannot tolerate the cold, and need to be inside during very cold weather.
