Right-of-Way Permits

Right-of-Way permits are issued by the Town of Prescott Valley's Public Works Department. These permits are available at no charge to any individual, contractor, or public utility that needs to perform work in the town's roadway or easements. All public utilities are located in the town's right-of-way or easement.

A permit allows the permittee to secure permission to work. It also alerts the town that work is being performed so that it can be inspected to make sure a safe and proper environment exists for both the contractor and the public. The permit also allows the town to evaluate the work and seek alternatives that might be more acceptable. Depending on the scope of the work, the town may require the applicant to also submit drawings of the work to be performed or a traffic control plan to more adequately evaluate the project.

Submitting Permit

You can print the Right-of-Way Permit form. Normally, a permit takes 2 working days from submittal to be approved and returned to the applicant.

The first two pages must be signed and all four pages returned before it can be processed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 928-759-3070.
