Is professional filming and photography allowed in the parks?
Professional filming and photography for weddings and parties is allowed and should be included in the details of the Special Event Application. Any other professional filming and photography projects are subject to approval from Parks & Recreation Director.

What is considered a Special Event?
Any event on park property is subject to the approval of the Town of Prescott Valley. Certain activities that require a Town of Prescott Valley Special Event Permit include the following:
o Events with 50 or more participants
o Use of amplified sound
o Any advertising or sponsorship activities
o Selling/distributing any food, goods, or merchandise
Please keep in mind that there are other activities or proposed event features that may require you to secure a Town of Prescott Valley Special Event Permit. If you are planning any event in the parks, you are encouraged to consult the Department of Parks and Recreation: (928) 759-3090.

Is there a fee for a Special Event Application Permit? If yes, how much?
There is no fee to process a Special Event Application for a permit. Take note of the deadline for submittal based on the type of event. Click below to download and review the towns Special Event Application form. Fees will be applicable to facility rentals for the special event.

Is there a fee for a Special Event Vendor License? If yes, how much?
A Special Event Vendor License is required if your business has been invited to vend at one of the Parks & Recreation department special events. If you have a valid Town of Prescott Valley business license the special event vendor license is free. If not, the fee is $15. Contact the Town Clerk’s office for more information at 928-759-3135.

Is professional filming and photography allowed in the parks?
Professional filming and photography for weddings and parties is allowed and should be included in the details of the Special Event Application. Any other professional filming and photography projects are subject to approval from Parks & Recreation Director.

Can I have a Bounce House in the park for my child’s birthday party tomorrow?
No. We require a minimum 30 day notice and a Special Event Application is required for anything other than a simple picnic and must be submitted it to the Parks & Recreation department. You will also need to provide a copy of a Certificate of Insurance with a $1,000,000 minimum comprehensive general liability, with the Town of Prescott Valley named as co-insured be on file with the Parks & Recreation department.

I want to have my wedding reception at a town park. Can we serve alcohol?
Yes, but only with an alcohol permit which is issued through the Town Clerk’s office. You will also need to reserve the park and complete a special event application.
